Culhane calls 18 years with association ‘pinnacle’ of career
After 18 years as president of the Canadian Payroll Association (CPA), Patrick Culhane will retire in July.
“It has been the pinnacle of my career to lead the CPA,” he said. “I am very proud of what we have accomplished over the last 18 years.”
Under Culhane’s leadership, the CPA worked to define the payroll profession and pushed growth through Payroll Compliance Practitioner and Certified Payroll Manager certifications.
“I ran the CPA as a strategically driven organization using association best practices,” he said. “We have improved the efficiency and effectiveness of payroll regulatory requirements through our advocacy results.”
The Toronto-based organization represents 43,000 payroll practitioners covered under individual or organization memberships, working with employers and governments to make payroll legislation and administration more efficient and effective.
