Canada Revenue Agency announces appointment to board of management

Robert Manning nominated by the province of New Brunswick

Robert Manning has been appointed to the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) Board of Management.

Manning was nominated by the province of New Brunswick.

With his experience in telecommunications, engineering, government and energy sectors, Manning will be a valuable addition to the CRA board of management, said Gail Shea, minister of national revenue.

"(His) experience, in large multinationals and regional technology firms where he established business relationships around the globe, will further strengthen the Board and benefit the Agency overall,” she said.

While the minister of national revenue retains full accountability to parliament and to Canadian citizens for all CRA activities, the board of management is responsible for overseeing the organization and administration of the agency and the management of its resources, services, property, personnel and contracts, according to the CRA.
